Tumblr Tuesday

This isn't my Tumblr, but it might as well be.

What Shall We Call Playwrights pretty much is all my feels and all my brains all the time.

And, in case you didn't know it, yes, I am a playwright in addition to being the Dorktress. I wear many caps and look kind of dumb and tweeny in all of them.

This week's tumblr is of Wibbley-Wobbley Timey-Wimey proportions!

Eff Yeah, the TARDIS! is an awesome collection of TARDIS and Doctor Who related images, videos, quotes, and gifs. You're welcom, Whovians!

This is all you need to know. Sterling Archer Draper Pryce.

Tumblr Tuesday

This week's tumblr is Comically Vintage! An amazing assortment of weird/funny/sexy/awkward images from old comics.

Get a soda and something to nosh on, because you'll be scrolling and giggling for a few hours. It's a pretty flawless tumblr.

Tumblr Tuesday

This week's tumblr reminds me what so many of my favorite fictional characters have in common.

They all wear the same shoes.

Characters in Converse is a tumblr that, sadly, hasn't been updated in a little while, but seems pretty thorough. It's exactly what it sounds like, so prepare to see feet. Liz Lemon's feet. Ten's feet. Veronica Mars's feet. Pretty much everybody's feet.

Real shoes. Fake people.

Tumblr Tuesday

I watched some Walking Dead last night, so I need chasers all day today. Fortunately today's tumblr is Animals with Stuffed Animals.

Tumblr Tuesday

This week's tumblr is a beautiful collection of photos, gifs, videos, and ads that focus on lovely/quirky/sexy/funny things from the past.

Retrogasm is mostly photos of old Hollywood glamour, and just a heads up, there's a lot of nipple action on this tumblr, but for the most part, the photographs are a stunning look at a side of the past that we, in 2011, often forget.

Here are some samples.

Dynamoe, the amazing artist who allows you to once annually "Mad Men Yourself" has a couple of tumblr accounts. My favorite is Hipster Animals. It is exactly what you might imagine. It's hipster animals. What? Were you imagining something else?

Go. Look at it. Chortle. Or not, if you're, you know, like, too cool for that or something.

Tumblr Tuesday

It's Thanksgiving week, and I'm pretty thankful for Muppets, as I'm sure you've noticed.

I'm thankful that they sing great songs, I'm thankful that they aren't afraid to try new things, and possibly fail. I'm thankful that they appreciate humor. I'm thankful that they've existed my entire life. I'm thankful that they continued to exist even after the loss of Jim Henson (the ultimate Dead but Cool).

So of course, I'm also thankful for this week's tumblr Tuesday. Ladies and dorks, Muppet Mayhem.

Tumblr Tuesday

This week's Tumblr suggestion is When the What? It's a series of hand-drawn and written timelines. Of anything and everything. And it can easily assist you in your desire to waste your entire day on one website. Enjoy!

P.S. Don't click on this image to make it larger unless you want A Song of Ice & Fire spoilers. You've been warned.

Tumblr Tuesday

Thanks to Zack H. of Park Slope for sending Giant Dorkgasm this kickass link.

This week's Tumblr is Yo, Is This Racist? You ask the moderator if [insert anything] is racist. He answers.

The many races of Star Wars action figures

I'm happy to report that he has already stated that anything Star Wars related is not racist. It's just Star Wars.

Tumblr Tuesday

This week's Tumblr is The Fuzzy Dave!! My all-time favorite Tumblr!

Full of delightful images, videos, and gifs, TheFuzzyDave's Carousel of Wonderosities introduces me to about fifty new things to love every single day!

Just go look at it already.

ENJOY!

Tumblr Tuesday!

It's Tumblr Tuesday!

This week's recommended tumblr is small, but active, so I feel like we all have a lot of greatness to look forward to!

SEXY LADY TALK is filled with original ink and marker sketches of old ladies saying that stuff that old ladies say. Some of the drawings are accompanied by weird, rambly audio recordings of old lady monologues. Pretty out-there stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing where this tumblr goes!

Tumblr Tuesday!

My favorite tumblr of the week is "If You Can't Say Anything Nice."

Not only is the author's avatar a picture of 1960's style Batgirl, but it's pretty much full of amazing. Videos of people singing in zoos, highlight clips from The Mighty Boosh, the occasional fantastic original video, and pictures of stuff I like to look at. What more could you wish for?

An example of the gems you'll find there:
